Education & Fellowships

Dr. Soni completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida where she completed a double major in Microbiology and Cell Science and Human Nutrition. 

She attended medical school at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, Florida. She completed her Internal Medicine residency training at the prestigious Ivy League Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She remained at UPenn for her Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship where she was selected as Chief Fellow of the UPenn Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship program.

During her Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship, Dr. Soni attained additional fellowship training in Multimodality Cardiac Imaging including Advanced Adult Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT).

She also attained additional fellowship training in Women’s Cardiovascular Health and Preventive Cardiology.

Dr. Soni joins Florida Cardiology with an esteemed Ivy League trained background in treating a broad range of cardiac diseases and providing high-quality care to her patients.


In her free time, Dr. Soni enjoys spending time with her family, utilizing her nutrition background to create fun and healthy recipes, doing Pilates, and playing tennis.
